Feature Update - Custom Reporting

Feature update: free text attestations and table dataset reports

Our latest updates adds new functionality to some of our existing features within Corterum, including improvements to attestations and custom reporting.

Let’s take a look at what’s new!

Free text attestations

The next time you go to create an attestation as an administrator, you might notice a couple of small changes.

When you click “Configure Attestations” you’ll see that there is a new answer type: “free text.”

This option allows users who are responding to a question to provide explanations and context for their answer, rather than a simple “yes/no” or “red/amber/green” response.

You can see this in action below:

It’s worth keeping in mine that if you add a free text field, you can no longer have a “red flag” answer trigger or an alert message, because there are so many potential answers that can be given.

On the user side, the dropdown field that would normally be there won’t be and it will be replaced with the free text field:

Back to the administrator side – the admin will now see that they have free text answers to review:

Table dataset reports

We’ve also expanded our custom reporting feature set to allow you to include fields from any one table dataset in a custom report.

Let’s take a look at how this works in practice:

In this example, you can see that we’ve already added a dataset called “‘Reasonable steps’ framework” which is a table dataset:

Because it’s a table dataset, the other table datasets that appear when you click “Add fields” have been greyed out. This is because table datasets take up multiple rows per table in the exported spreadsheet.

As you can see in this example, row datasets – such as Boards and Committees – can still be added to a custom report even if there is a table dataset present.
