Michael Beaton
Founder & CEO
Michael is the CEO of Corterum. He joined Barclays Capital in 2001 working first as a derivatives lawyer and then as a senior structurer within the Complex Transactions Team, forming part of the Equity and Funds Structured Markets trading desk. Here, he specialised in the design and documentation of derivatives linked to mutual funds, hedge funds, equities and indices. Michael left Barclays Capital to join Document Risk Solutions Ltd (DRS) in October 2010, where he is currently a director with responsibility for the firm’s regulatory practice.
Jonathan Martin
Director
Jonathan is a director of Corterum. He began his career in financial services at Barclays Capital in 1997. At Barclays, Jonathan held a variety of roles, heading the legal support for repo and equity financing (including prime brokerage), hedge fund sales and structured OTC derivative transaction management. Jonathan is also a director and CEO of DRS, providing advice to clients on many aspects of regulatory change.
David Sargen
Director & COO
David is a director and COO of Corterum. He joined Barclays Capital in 1997, working in the Legal department, gaining expertise in derivatives, capital markets and structured products. David went on to manage the Fund-linked Derivatives and Equity Financing legal teams, before moving to the role of Director in the Investor Solutions sales team for three years. This encompassed offering Fund-linked Derivatives and equity financing products to Barclays Capital’s top tier asset management and private banking clients. David is also a director and COO of DRS, focussing on Legal and Regulatory Consulting.
Anthony Wilkinson
Head of marketing
With more than ten years’ experience in brand and marketing, Anthony joined the Corterum team in November 2019. He is responsible for all branding, strategy, marketing and communications to help Corterum grow. Prior to working at Corterum, Anthony worked for some of the biggest names in technology and telecoms worldwide.
Paul Hands
Head of Technology
Paul is the Head of Technology at Corterum. He has created web applications for years using the most recent technology libraries, and is tasked with driving the growth and progress of the development team as they continue to improve the Corterum application
