Feature update: workflow improvements

Our latest update bring with it improvements to our workflow rules functionality. Read on to find out what’s changed!

We wanted to make our workflow rules functionality as comprehensive as possible, so we’ve expanded it to allow you apply workflow rules to specific staff roles and groups of staff members within your firm.

Next time you go activate a workflow rule within your Corterum instance, you’ll see some a new option when you go to assign it. We’ve replaced the “Target Roles” dropdown menu with a cog ⚙ icon, which gives you the following options:

Assigning workflow rules to groups

You can now apply a workflow rule to a group of people within your firm. For example, you may want to apply a workflow rule to everyone in your firm’s “Ancillary Staff” group. With this update you can do this with just a few clicks.

Note: you can also apply a workflow rule to more than one group at a time, and apply it one or more roles within your Corterum instance at the same time.

Assigning workflow rules to roles

This dropdown menu works the same as the “Target Roles” menu that you’re used to. Here, you can apply a workflow rule to a specific role within your firm. For example, you might want to apply a workflow rule to notify all SM&CR staff that they have 3 months left before their Fit and Proper certificate expires.

Note: you can apply a workflow rule to more than one role at a time, and apply it one or more groups within your Corterum instance at the same time.
